Guide for New Scouts and Parents
Summer camp is generally a week-long trip with the troop during summer vacation. Most often, the troop will stay at one of the two Boy Scout Camps run by Daniel Webster Council - Hidden Valley and Camp Bell. Both are located on the Griswold Hidden Valley Scout Reservation in Gilmanton Iron Works, NH. A handout with directions and a quick summary of important information is usually handed out to those planning to attend camp with the troop. Camperships are the equivalent of need-based scholarships for summer camp and a limited number are offered each year by the Daniel Webster Council. The application form can be downloaded below.

The Troop 91 Camping Guide, as the name states, is intended to be a guide, not an exhaustive description of all there is to know about camping. You should consult with your Patrol Leader, Senior Patrol Leader, or Scoutmaster if you have questions about how to prepare for a troop camping trip.
Troop 91 Camping Guide
What to pack for a camping trip depends on the season, the length of the trip, and the type of trip (i.e. backpacking, canoeing, etc.). A packing guide for winter and summer weather is provided below as a reference. As stated above, if you have any questions about how to prepare for a troop camping trip, you should contact your Patrol Leader, Senior Patrol Leader, or Scoutmaster.
